Overview#
Bot settings covers how Iris behaves in your server rather than what any one module does: the prefix it answers to, the language it replies in, and the name and avatar it wears here.
All of it is per server. One server can run . in English while another runs ! in Portuguese, from the same bot.
Setup#
- Open the dashboard and go to Server > Bot Settings.
- Set the Prefix if
.clashes with another bot in the server. - Turn on Mention as Prefix if you also want
@Iris ban ...to work. - Pick your Bot Language under Language.
- Save. To change the name or avatar, set them under Bot Profile and press Apply Profile.

Permissions#

Tips and gotchas#
I forgot the prefix.
Mention Iris. With Mention as Prefix on, @Iris help works whatever the prefix is.
Does the prefix change every server?
No. Prefix, language and profile are all per server.
The avatar did not change.
The profile is applied by the running bot, so Iris has to be online. Discord also rate limits avatar changes, so give it a minute.
How do I turn a command off?
That is command management, which also handles channels where commands are ignored.
