Yes. Every module is free to use with no paid tier, no premium gating, and no feature locked behind a subscription.

Click "Add to Discord" on the homepage. You will be taken to Discord's authorisation screen - select your server and confirm. Iris will appear in your member list right away.

No. Add the bot, open the dashboard in your browser, and configure everything from there. There is nothing to install or run on your own machine.

Use /setup in Discord for a quick overview, or /setup_wizard for a guided walkthrough that steps through each module one at a time. You can also configure everything visually from the web dashboard at any point.

Iris requests Administrator during the invite flow, which covers all modules without any extra steps. If you prefer a tighter setup, you can grant only the permissions relevant to the modules you actually use.

Absolutely. Every module is independent. Enable only the ones you want from the dashboard and ignore the rest. Disabling a module does not delete its configuration.

Iris covers warn, mute (Discord timeout), kick, ban, tempban, softban, and unban. Each action creates a numbered case you can view later with /cases, and can optionally DM the affected member.

Yes. DM notifications are supported for all moderation actions. You can toggle this on or off from the dashboard or via bot settings.

Yes. The Logging module tracks 30+ event types including moderation actions, message edits and deletes, member joins and leaves, role changes, and voice activity. Each event type gets its own channel assignment from the dashboard.

The anti-raid module watches for sudden surges of new joins. When a raid is detected it can automatically lock the server, kick or ban incoming accounts, and alert your moderators. Thresholds and responses are fully configurable.

Yes. The Automod module includes anti-spam, word and phrase filters, link blocking with optional allowlists, and Discord invite link filtering. Each filter has its own escalation settings.

/lock and /unlock target a single channel. /lockdown and /unlockdown apply to every channel in the server at once - useful during raids or active incidents.

/purge lets you delete up to 1,000 messages at a time. You can target all messages, messages from a specific user, messages matching text, or messages containing links, invites, images, bot messages, and more.

A member clicks a button in a configured channel to open a ticket. Iris creates a private thread or channel, notifies the assigned staff roles, and tracks the conversation until it is closed.

Yes. Define separate categories such as Support, Report, or Appeal - each with its own staff roles and target channels.

Yes. You can set an inactivity period after which the ticket closes automatically. An optional warning message is sent beforehand so the member can respond if needed.

Yes. Set the welcome channel, customise the embed content, and optionally send a DM to new members. Use /welcome test to preview the message before it goes live.

Yes. Set one or more autoroles with /welcome role. Those roles are assigned to every member the moment they join.

Self-roles let members assign themselves roles by clicking a button in a message. Create a menu with /selfroles create, add roles to it, then post it to a channel with /selfroles post. No staff input needed once it is live.

Run /giveaway create. Iris walks you through setting the prize, duration, number of winners, and any entry requirements. It posts the giveaway embed and picks winners automatically when the timer ends.

Yes. You can require members to have a specific role or a minimum invite count before they can enter.

Yes. Run /giveaway reroll with the giveaway message ID to pick a fresh set of winners from the original entrant pool.

Yes. /giveaway end picks winners immediately and closes it. /giveaway cancel stops it without picking any winners.

Iris supports live alerts for Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and Kick.com. When a tracked creator goes live or posts, Iris sends a message to the channel you configured.

There is no hard cap built in to the notification modules. Add as many as your server needs via /twitch, /youtube, /tiktok, or /kicknotif.

You control the mention. When setting up a notification you choose the role or @here to ping, or leave it blank for a silent embed-only message.

The starboard surfaces popular messages. When a message receives enough star reactions it gets reposted to a dedicated channel, so great content does not get buried in chat history.

Yes. Set the channel, the reaction count threshold, and which emoji to watch via the dashboard or the .starboard prefix commands. Adjust the threshold any time with .starboard threshold.

It keeps a copy of the server invite list and compares it after each join to see which code was used. This needs the Manage Server permission; without it no join can be attributed and every count stays at zero.

Regular is people who joined through an invite and stayed. Left is those who have since gone. Fake is joins from accounts too new to count, which stops a throwaway account inflating a total. Bonus is invites granted by staff with /invite-manage addbonus.

No. Counting starts when Iris joins the server, so an established server begins from zero rather than from its history.

Only members with the Manage Server permission on a given server can view and edit its settings. You never see servers you do not have that permission on.

Yes. Run /language set followed by your chosen language. Iris supports 21 languages and will respond in that language for your server from that point on.

Yes. Set a custom prefix for text commands from the bot settings module. Slash commands always start with / regardless of the prefix you set.

Use the Auto-Purge module. Set a channel and a schedule, and Iris will clear it on that interval without any manual input.

Iris stores Discord user IDs, server IDs, your module configuration, moderation case records, giveaway entries, invite records, and message metadata for logging. Message content is not stored permanently. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

Removing Iris from your server stops all data collection. Configuration data may be retained for up to 30 days after removal before deletion. See the Terms of Service for the full data retention policy.
