Anti-Link

Filter links with blocklists and whitelists.

Configure Anti-Link in the dashboard

Overview#

Anti-link decides which links survive in your server. It runs in one of two modes: block everything except the websites you allow, or allow everything except the websites you block. Discord invites and link shorteners are caught either way.

NSFW links are handled separately, so an adult website is removed even in a server where links are otherwise welcome.

Channels you exempt are left alone entirely, which is how a media or links channel keeps working while the rest of the server stays clean.

Setup#

  1. Open the dashboard and go to Moderation > Anti-Link, then turn the module on.
  2. Pick a mode: Block all links, or Block specific links.
  3. Fill in the matching list: Allowed websites for block-all, or Blocked websites for block-specific.
  4. Turn on Block NSFW links unless you have a reason not to.
  5. Add your media and links channels under Exempt channels.
  6. Under Enforcement, choose whether the message is deleted and whether a public notice is posted, and set the Log Channel.

Tips and gotchas#

Staff links are being removed.

Apply to admins is on. Turn it off and members with Manage Messages bypass the filter again.

How do I allow one channel?

Add it under Exempt channels. The filter ignores it entirely, in both modes.

What is the difference from the AutoMod link filter?

AutoMod has a simple link filter for general use. This module adds the two modes, NSFW blocking, per-channel exemptions and its own enforcement log.

Do I write domains with https?

No. Write the domain on its own, for example example.com. Matching covers the paths under it.
